But first, here are a few common questions.

Soft Path Healing is a trauma-informed practice specializing in somatic trauma resolution, trauma integration, and nervous system nourishment. As a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT) and trauma-informed care teacher, I offer Somatic Experiencing, Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP), and comprehensive trauma-informed care to support your healing journey.
-
I specialize in three main areas: Somatic Experiencing sessions for trauma resolution, Safe & Sound Protocol (SSP) experiences for nervous system regulation, and trauma-informed care mentoring for practitioners. I also offer virtual courses, guides, and resources through my online shop for both trauma survivors and practitioners seeking trauma-informed approaches.
-
Somatic Experiencing is a body-based approach to trauma healing that works with your nervous system's natural capacity to restore balance and resilience. This gentle method helps release trapped trauma energy from the body, allowing your nervous system to complete interrupted stress responses and return to a state of calm and regulation, when that’s possible. In this world, we know that’s not always possible.
-
The Safe & Sound Protocol is an evidence-based listening therapy designed to reduce stress and auditory sensitivity while enhancing social engagement and resilience. SSP uses specially filtered music to stimulate the vagus nerve and help regulate your autonomic nervous system, creating a foundation for improved emotional regulation and social connection. I love to offer this modality in a neurodivergent affirming lens!

Currently, I only offer virtual sessions, which allows me to work with clients throughout Maine and across the world. Virtual somatic work is different than in-person work, but can be highly effective and adaptable. It can be a gift to do somatic work in your own space with your creature comforts.
-
There are two ways to begin: You can apply for an SSP experience at this link, or book a connection call about working together 1:1 at this link.
-
I offer both 1:1 virtual sessions and small group experiences. Individual sessions provide a high level of personal care, while group offerings create supportive community spaces for shared learning and healing.
-
I'm based in Mid-Coast Maine and serve clients virtually throughout Maine and across the world. Virtual sessions allow me to support people regardless of their geographic location and offer accessible somatic healing for folks who might not otherwise have access.
-
Unfortunately, I cannot accept insurance. I am happy to provide receipts that you can submit for potential reimbursement or use with HSA/FSA accounts.
-
I ask for 24-hour notice for cancellations or rescheduling to respect both your time and mine, and to allow space for other clients who may be seeking support. This policy helps ensure everyone gets the trauma-informed care they need. You can see all of my session policies when we begin to work together.

While traditional talk therapy focuses primarily on thoughts and emotions, somatic approaches work directly with the body and nervous system where trauma is actually stored. This body-based method can access and release trauma that may be difficult to reach through talking alone, often creating lasting changes in how you feel and move through the world.

I know healing is often out of reach for many reasons, including finances. I operate as accessibly as possible, and on a sliding scale fund.
If finances are tight, do visit the shop. There are lower cost healing resources within that might support you.
