ENROLLMENT IS OPEN 🕯️SAVE YOUR SPOT

Hey, healer.

If you’re here, I know you care about your clients. They’ve been through a lot, and you want to be there for them. Without burning out, overholding or stumbling over your words when trauma history comes up.

You have big spaceholding skills, but they might feel bigger than your scope of practice or capacity (oops!).

Your heart is in your work, and you don’t want to fuck up or disappoint anyone. So there might be a pattern of avoiding or staying small or even fawning.

You have saved all the things on instagram and TikTok and you’re still not sure how to help your clients in a trauma-informed way.

You learned how to serve clients and run a business from folks (or bros) who weren’t exactly trauma-informed, and you’re looking for a new blueprint.

Your trauma-informed blueprint will be your own.

I won’t hand over the map and demand you replicate it (that wouldn’t be super trauma-informed, anyway).

But I will help you create a trauma-informed blueprint and toolkit you can keep forever.

If you don't want to go it alone, and are seeking gentle guidance, come join me!

Imagine where you can be after our training!

➺ Steeped in knowledge of the nervous system and ready to meet your client’s survival skills that show up in session.

➺ Aware of post-trauma manifestations as well as supportive adaptations and practices your client might need (but not know how to ask for).

➺ Feeling clear about your scope of practice and what trauma-informed care means to you and your clients (because this work is individualized, both to clients and to your unique approach).

➺ Already subtly shifting language and systems so your clients feel more invited, included and cared for. And, so your boundaries are clear and your capacity is honored!

Trauma informed care is about your needs, too.

If you work with humans, you are likely working with trauma.

Whether you know it or not.

Even if your client isn’t bringing it up.

Foundations is a trauma-informed training for healers and beyond.

When you join this comprehensive training, you’ll receive guidance for back-end business, pre-session practices and social media presence, and tools you can use during sessions, groups and client and customer work.

All so you’ll feel more confident and competent in your trauma-informed approach, no matter your scope of practice.

If you’re not sure how to get from fumbling and frozen to confident and competent, let me invite you along this path.

Imagine showing up to a trauma informed training where your body, brain and nervous system will be held just as they are.

Consider a slow, spacious pace as you take in new information; and opportunities to somatically sift to find your resonant just rights.

Savor forever access to our online training portal to enrich your experience and nurture your learning along the way.

Whether you join our training live or catch the replays, you’ll have curriculum at your fingertips.

Know you need more time with material? You’ve got it!

Trauma informed care takes time, and you can take it, too.

I had such an enjoyable time learning from Jess! The group container had so many different variations of facilitators that it helped me see how parts of my business needed to be improved. The valuable insight of Jess on all things TIC has been helping me support my clientele for years and this foundational course was exactly what I needed to feel more supported in my standing on TIC and how to support others and myself. The teachings were simple and easy to digest but definitely will have a long lasting impact on everyone that I have the pleasure of working with.

I’ve seen big growth through Foundations, and I know trauma-informed work is forever.

So when you join, you’ll also receive:

Forever access to a comprehensive curriculum with neuroscience, trauma-informed teachings and language, and trauma-informed best practices. So you can get guidance when you need it, even after our training is complete.

A self-paced trauma-informed intake process to bring your intake from it’s-just-what-I’ve-been-doing to holy-heck-this-works (for you and your clients).

Actual somatic practices that you can carry with you. If you work with clients and it’s in your scope, awesome, share them! If not, you can support yourself through challenging moments.

DREAM WITH ME. WHAT IF . . .

You don’t need to be perfect. You need support at a nervous system level so you can weather client whoopsies and vulnerability hangovers from social media launches.

You don’t need to start over. You need trauma-informed methodologies and best practices to reference as you look at your practice with a fresh perspective and make small yet powerful shifts.

You don’t need to be small and quiet so you never cause harm. You need to practice discerning between care and fawning, practitioner-ing and people pleasing. You need deep care as you practice amending and accounting for inevitable harm.

You don’t need to do this alone or just try harder. You need a training that feels relatively safe for your nervous system. Encouragement to be client centered and you-centered, considering your capacities and needs. You’re allowed!

Hey, healer.

You meet your clients right where they are in their process.

Without judgment or shame. With exquisite tenderness and attunement.

With vast patience and hope holding.

You can meet yourself there, too.

In Foundations, we start where we are. We nurture what’s working well, and we softly shape and shift what isn’t.

If you want to be held in a trauma informed space as you craft your trauma informed approach, join us.

Hi, I’m Jess (she/they) and you definitely don’t have to trust me!

It would be super un-trauma-informed of me to demand that off the bat, but we’ll delve into that in class. I’m a licensed massage therapist, somatic and SSP practitioner and trauma-informed educator and mentor for healers. I draw from my lived experience as a survivor and my extensive trauma-informed studies. I’m a forever student of the nervous system, neuroscience, healing justice and somatic practice.

I love getting nerdy about the nervous system, and it’s super important to me to hold and co-create a trauma-informed space for my students. You, your nervous system and your brain can all be held here.

You can expect clear communication (capricorn sun, mercury and more), gentleness (I know talking about trauma-informed care can bring things up), laughter and a few topical and tender tangents. I’d be honored to hold and share space with you. It’s a joy to learn and unlearn together.

My session with Jess was such a beautiful catalyst to further healing within myself: she gently supported me in realizing that part of being a trauma-informed massage therapist is creating the conditions where I, too, can feel safer and more present. This was just one of several lightbulb moments, which really helped me get clarity on how I want to grow in my trauma-informed practices."

My business wouldn’t be as trauma informed without Foundations! It was a big YES for me to be in a group where we shared pronouns and named institutional harm! For once, I felt like I wasn't alone. Our healing field has lots of work to do, and I am lit up to be doing it without burning out!!"

A look inside the Foundations Curriculum

“I've already noticed that the way that I'm speaking with and writing to clients is indeed starting to shift for the better. And I feel good knowing that I have a solid toolkit for this work that I can continue to use as I grow my practice.”

- Olivia, animal communicator, reiki practitioner + Foundations Student

  • Trauma Informed Teachings

So you can hold potential trauma impacts clients and customers might experience. So you can notice your own nervous system as you work.

  • We begin with the nervous system

Because everyone you work with has one. You’ll learn to hold the potential trauma impacts clients and customers might experience. You’ll be invited to notice your own nervous system as you learn and in your work.

  • Pre Session Practices

So your trauma sensitive approach can begin before the session does. So your communication can be clear and call in right fit clients. So there is coherency between the marketing and the client experience.

  • Spaceholding Skills

So you can feel sure of your capacity from both a nervous system and scope of practice perspective. So you can gift your clients and customers with time to grow trust and safety rather than assuming it, as the overculture would have us do.

  • Even more session skills

So you can add somatic and trauma informed approaches to your tool basket. Ready when you need them. So you can experience titration, choice and right pace for your self and nervous system as you learn!

  • Post Session Practices

So you can ease transitions for your self and your clients. So you can begin to befriend feedback. So you can invite clients to integrate your work together. So you can honor your trauma informed learning.

Foundations is a hybrid training experience with a virtual training portal and 12 hours of live training time, including experiential somatic practices and breaks. Our live classes include captions and replays, and our pace is spacious. My hope is that your nervous system will feel held in a gentle, trauma informed space while we learn together. Even more than sharing lectures and lessons, I hope to model trauma informed spaceholding.

Please bring your questions and curiosities! Please reach out along the way if I can help you find more of the information you’re looking for or meet any emerging needs. Please visit our training portal and additional materials for deep dives and refreshers outside of our training hours. This material is here to help you integrate and apply what we explore.

FIND ANSWERS TO YOUR QUESTIONS HERE

  • If you are embarking on embracing trauma informed care in your work with clients, this is probably for you. This trainwng ill touch on the pillars and foundations of trauma-informed care, and learning is geared toward folks who are new to the work or seeking to deepen their trauma-informed knowledge. Whether you are brand new, or have already gotten started, there is a place for you here.

  • I believe that trauma informed care can benefit all clients and humans. It is typically a more compassionate, sensitive and nervous-system-centered approach. In our time together, we will speak specifically to bodybased client sessions (from breathwork to massage to embodied coaching) although the pillars can be applied through all client work. You don’t need to work directly with trauma to utilize a trauma informed approach. If you’re not sure if your specific area of practice is applicable, feel free to reach out.

  • I can’t promise this will be a safe space. (But you know how people say that as an excuse to cause harm because then if you feel hurt it’s all on you? Ew and rest assured, I am not doing that.) I am committed to being a compassionate presence, honoring impact over intention, and holding the boundaries our container needs to honor everyone in it. If you have questions or want to feel me out, feel free to be in touch. And if you know I am not the right guide for you (there are so many reasons for that, my whiteness being one of them), I trust your choice.

  • Swearing bugs you (I do that sometimes!)

You don’t want to learn about trauma informed care from an intersectional, anti-oppressive lens (we do this! 👀)

A slow and spacious teaching and spaceholding approach will feel dysregulating to your nervous system

Small and mostly sweet interruptions from Bub the dog will irk you

  • Oooof, I get that. It can be really vulnerable. I’ll always make space for folks to show up in the ways that work for them; cameras on or off, speaking up or chatting in; sharing anonymously, etc. And we’ll strive to foster a container where we can all be beginners together, and honor the wisdom we bring at the same time. If engaging on zoom isn’t your jam (or a question comes up for you after class), you can connect with your (optional) study buddy. And if you desire more 1-1 support, you’re welcome to sign up for the 1-1 Spaceholder Support Package.

  • Hopefully when our last integration zoom closes, you’ll feel readier than ever to offer trauma informed care. Perhaps you’ll have a handful of best practices to incorporate into your business both during sessions and in your marketing and communication materials. You might have deeper compassion and understanding for your client’s post-trauma responses (without needing to do trauma resolution, if that’s outside of your scope). I hope you’ll feel nourished on a nervous system level, committed to your own care and affirmed in what you’ve been doing beautifully all along.

Hey healer! If you’re feeling drawn, come train with me.
